CRW Rides are open to members and guests. Guests may attend two rides before being required to join the club. Please click the Register button to the left to join the ride. Helmets are required on all CRW rides. 

Let's Tour Martha's Vineyard via Woods Hole ferry in September! 

Ride Start Location:

Parking for ferry at Woods Hole has many options. A bike reservation is not required but strongly suggested. See steamship authority website for more details https://www.steamshipauthority.com/schedules

Additionally, there are several free day parking spots along the shining path rail trail in Falmouth where you can ride to ferry departure in woods hole. First come first served, they fill up fast!

We will see a classic New England Island via scenic coastal route after a ferry ride. We will depart from Woods Hole on ferry at 8:15 AM. Arriving in Vineyard Haven at 9:00AM.   

Our tour takes us around the beautiful Martha's Vineyard, starting and ending at Vineyard Haven. There are four official stops planned along the route, but more stops to appreciate the scenery are encouraged.

Planned stops:

(1) Menemsh Beach (Optional - a quick bike ferry to spectacular Aquinnah Cliffs)

(2) Gay Head Cliffs lookoff 

(3) Chilmark country store for a tasty lunch stop

(4) Lighthouse Beach in Edgartown (Optional - a quick ferry to Chappaquiddick Island).

Then heading back to Oak Bluffs along a beautiful seashore road. Our tour ends either at Oak Bluff or to Vineyard Haven for a ferry back to Woods Hole. Jump into the ocean for a post ride swim and beverage or ice cream at Mad MArtha'c cafe.

We are a large group with different speed goals. This ride will have two ride leaders who will lead two separate groups. Erik D'entremont will be leading the first group with a goal of 17-18 mph. Melissa Quirk will be leading the second group with a goal of 15-16 mph. There is no ride leader for those wishing to ride less than 15 mph.
