Ride Description:
The Mass Central Rail trail has been prepped for paving with a graded and well drained gravel surface. But, it won't last long. Paving will begin once the weather warms in the Spring. So, the winter months are the only times to enjoy it as a gravel ride. Come Spring, it'll be paved. We'll ride a 32 mile loop starting at the Lincoln commuter rail station comprising local gravel roads and trails. Some single track and the usual construction hazards but not techy. Lunch, restrooms, and warmth at mile 20 at Sudbury Coffee or Dunkin Donuts. An earlier restroom at mile 11 in the Assabet Wildlife Sanctuary. Plan on between 3 - 4 hours depending on how fast you want to ride.

The Lincoln commuter rail station. Free on Sunday, lots of space.
