Ride Description: Gravel ride starting at the parking lot of the Star Market in Belmont near Wheelworks. Starts in the Beaver Brook reservation climbing up Belmont Hill with excursions to Menotomy park and Robbins Farm with its striking view of the Boston skyline. Bring a gravel or mountain bike. Not easily done on a road bike. More techy than the Battle Road ride but acrobatic skills not required. 14 miles taking about 2 - 3 hours depending on the amount of sight seeing undertaken and the riders' facility with their navigation device.
Post Ride Recovery: Mighty Squirrel for booze only. City Lights, at the far end of the same building, for non food truck sourced nourishment to go with your ethanol. Caffeine at the nearby Dunkin and Starbucks.
