RIDE DESCRIPTION:
Ride the developed section of the Southern New England Trunkline, a former railroad right-of-way, now a multi-use paved/packed dirt trail. The route starts in Franklin just off Rt 495, heads west into Woonsocket RI, then North to Uxbridge, then back to the start. Mostly quiet roads not frequently used on CRW rides. Short stretches of firm dirt roads. More than the usual amount of climbing but evenly spread over the route. If you have more than one bike, use the one with lower gears. 2 distances - 45 and 30 miles. Lunch at mile 30 at Cumberland Farms on the longer route.
