Ride Description:

Dover Llama Long – 52 mi / 2,544 ft
Joint ride with Blue Hills Cycling Club (BHCC) and Charles River Wheelers. BHCC and CRW riders are encouraged to ride or car-pool to the start to keep the lot clear.

We’re riding on Juneteenth National Independence Day (June 19), a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. With many people off work, this is a great chance to celebrate together on two wheels.

Target moving pace is 16–18 mph. We’ll regroup after major turns and encourage smooth paceline etiquette on the long, straight sections.

This classic route threads quiet back roads through Dover, Medfield, Sherborn, and Holliston, passing Powisset Farm and the llama paddocks that give the ride its name. Long, steady rollers and two mellow climbs near Noanet Woodlands make it ideal tempo terrain.

Rest stop (mile 22): Coffee Haven, 76 Railroad St, Holliston—espresso, pastries, water, indoor restrooms.

Ride Start Location:

Chickering School, 25 Dedham St, Dover, MA. Ample weekend parking behind the school. No restrooms on site when school is closed—plan a pre-ride stop at the Dover Town Library ½ mile away.
