Meet on the north side of the Alewife MBTA garage where these paths meet:

  • Minuteman Bikeway
  • Fitchburg Cutoff Path
  • Alewife Linear Path

The ride leaves promptly at 7 AM.

Ride Description

20-mile loop through 7 towns with a climb up Blanchard Road to Mary Cummings Park, then past Horn Pond and Mystic Lakes before returning to Alewife.

Most of the ride is on roads, with some bikeway sections.

Coffee stop after the ride is common.

Paid: Alewife Garage — 35 Cambridgepark Drive, Cambridge

Free (short ride to start):

Thorndike Field — 99 Margaret Rd, Arlington
Spy Pond Park — 56 Pond Ln, Arlington

Restrooms

None at the start.

A port-a-john is usually available at Thorndike Field.

Weather Cancellation

Cancelled for rain or unsafe conditions.

Decision posted by 10 PM the night before and again at 6 AM ride day if needed.
