Route Conditions Update:

As of Tues, 4/16: the route is rideable but please note:

1. There are numerous spots on the Battle Rd where there are deep ruts from washouts.

2. There is deep, thick mud in a number of places on both the Battle Rd and the Reformatory. Be prepared to get off and walk if needed.

3. The North Bridge path is closed due to flooding so we will NOT be doing that portion of the ride (we will turn back at the end of the Reformatory).

4. Bring lights as we will be finishing at dusk.

5. The route is NOT safe to ride with a road bike. Tires should have tread and be at least 32 mm.

Ride Description:

Join us for a fun and social gravel/mixed terrain ride! This ride is mostly on wide gravel roads & rail trail. Some of it may be rough, sandy, & muddy. The route is 65% unpaved. Tires 32–35 mm with some tread should be sufficient. If you are familiar with the route you can show-and-go at your own pace; if you are new to gravel, please read this info, and email the ride leader before you sign up.

A journey through Revolutionary War history in Bedford, Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord. Route includes the Minuteman Bikeway, Meagherville, Minuteman National Historic Park (Battle Road and Concord's North Bridge), Concord public farmland,  and the Reformatory Branch. Finish at Revolution Hall, and treat yourself to a beer!

*** Proper navigation tools are required: GPS device or phone app. Do not rely on others to help you with navigation. They may ride at a different speed than you. ***
