Ride Description:
A classic CRW ride, intended to be fun and friendly for participants at all paces. On this route, we ride through Concord and the lovely Monument Street. The longer route takes you into Carlisle. We divide into multiple pace groups at the beginning so you can meet others who will be riding at your same speed. If you find yourself dropped, just wait for the next group to come along; but make sure you have the GPS route file (linked below) loaded onto your GPS device or phone in case you get separated.
Most riders, choose the 30-mile route, though you can break off midway for the 20-mile route if you prefer. The 30-mile route offers the option of taking a brief rest stop just past the mid-point at Great Brook Farm, which offers water and restroom. Gather for a coffee / pastry break and social after the ride at Tatte Bakery & Café in Lexington.
The ride leader for this ride will be leading the 30-mile route with a pace in the range of 13-14 mph. Other riders are encouraged to self-group according to pace.
There will be no lead group for the 20 mile route. Other speed groups can be coordinated as needed (and the above speed groups can be adjusted based on group preference).
In case the forecast shifts to inclement weather, I will aim to provide notice of cancellation to registrants via email the evening before the ride.
Ride Start Location:
The Minuteman Statue on the Lexington Battle Green at Massachusetts Ave &, Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02421
